Own Garment Fee
We’re changing things up in terms of how we handle ‘gear brought-in’. Our new policy ensures that we can keep branding the gear you love and find yourself, while still covering our operational costs.
We’re still happy to embroider customer-supplied garments. However, these jobs come with setup, admin, and risk that standard pricing doesn’t cover. To keep things fair (and sustainable), we’ve introduced an Own Garment Fee:
1–9 units: $10 each
10–49 units: $5 each
50+ units: $2.50 each
The fee is charged per garment, and is in addition to embroidery pricing.
Why this change?
Customer-supplied jobs consume time and resources that aren’t offset by garment sales. Put simply, they create lost margin (we’re not supplying the apparel) while also adding extra complications/workload with gear that can be unreliable or difficult to work with.
What this fee helps cover (and often still doesn’t fully cover):
Additional artwork handling and admin (manual intake, job notes, matching garments to files)
Machine setup (test runs, tensioning, thread changes, specialty hooping/jigs)
Handling and QC unique to outside garments (unbag/rebag, steaming, lint removal, pre-check for defects)
Scheduling delays and stoppages (if a garment won’t sew cleanly, it ties up a head)
Risk management (we can’t replace your garment if something goes wrong)
We take great care with every piece, but needles do break and machines sometimes misbehave. With customer-supplied items, we cannot replace or reimburse the garment in the rare event of damage or an imperfect result.
Waiver required
To proceed with any customer-supplied items, a signed Customer-Supplied Garment Waiver is required. This confirms you understand:
We take all reasonable care, but liability for the garment remains with the customer.
Certain fabrics/finishes carry higher risk (e.g., waterproof membranes, high-stretch knits, loose weaves, heavily brushed fleece).
Pre-existing defects, dye migration, hoop marks, compression, scorching, shrinkage, or seam placement can affect results.
If you’re unsure whether a garment is suitable, ask us first—we’re happy to advise before you drop it in.
The smarter option
Order apparel through us and skip the fee entirely. Even better, any garment over $49 includes your first 5,000 stitches free (left or right chest logo). You’ll also get:

Consistent sizing and stock continuity
If something goes wrong in production, we replace it and you’d probably not even know! So if you order 100 units, you’ll get 100 units!
